NEW DELHI:
India and Switzerland have identified new areas of cooperation in defence production and nuclear energy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after meeting Swiss President Guy Parmelin.
Modi said the two countries had discussed possibilities for cooperation in military exchanges and defence production. They also reached an understanding on further strengthening collaboration in the nuclear energy sector.
The discussions are part of efforts to deepen bilateral ties between India and Switzerland and expand cooperation in strategic and emerging areas.
The two sides are also expected to explore greater economic and technological cooperation in the coming period.
