NEW DELHI:
India-US trade negotiations have reached a “plateau”, with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman saying further concessions from either side have become difficult.
Sitharaman said the talks were still continuing but had reached a stage where both countries would find it difficult to make additional concessions.
The negotiations are being closely watched by Indian exporters and businesses amid concerns over tariffs and access to the US market.
The government has maintained that India will protect its economic interests while seeking a mutually beneficial trade agreement with the United States.
