GREATER NOIDA:
Thirty-two passengers travelling on a Delhi-Samastipur bus were safely evacuated after the vehicle caught fire in the Knowledge Park area of Greater Noida on Tuesday.
Police and emergency personnel rushed to the spot after the fire broke out. All passengers were evacuated before the blaze was brought under control, and no casualties were reported.
Preliminary information suggested that the fire may have originated near the engine because of a short circuit. However, officials said the exact cause would be established only after an investigation.
Authorities arranged assistance for the passengers to continue their journey after the incident.
