Tamil film Enna Vilai, starring Karunaas and Nimisha Sajayan, has won the Best Cinematography Award at the Atlanta Indian Film Festival in the US. Cinematographer Alby Antony received the honour, presented at the festival ceremony on October 3. Producer Anugopal Venugopalan accepted the award on his behalf.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sajeev Pazhoor, the film is set in coastal Rameswaram and follows a fisherman whose life takes an unexpected turn, exploring themes of justice, dignity and resilience.
Alby Antony described the recognition as a proud moment and shared the honour with the director, producers Githesh Viswambharan and Anugopal Venugopalan, and the entire team. The award marks another milestone in the filmâs international festival journey and Kalamaya Cineverseâs efforts to take Tamil cinema to a global audience.
