Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Ranabaali has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing the way for its worldwide theatrical release on October 16.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the period action drama has reportedly been cleared without any cuts. The film marks the third on-screen collaboration between Vijay and Rashmika after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, and their first film to release together following their marriage.
Set in the 1850s against the backdrop of British colonial rule, Ranabaali follows a rebel who stands up against oppressive British officials and fights for his people in the Rayalaseema region. Rashmika plays Jayamma, the protagonist’s wife, while Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo appears as British officer Sir Theodore Hector.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series, the film has music by Ajay-Atul. It is scheduled for a pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam on October 16, coinciding with the festive season.
