Trichy, October 24
BHIM Payments App has launched the third edition of its ‘Meethi Diwali’ campaign, pledging to support underprivileged children with school kits. For every seventh transaction made by a user on the app between October 19 and November 8, 2026, the company will contribute towards providing essential learning materials to children in need.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with Goonj, a non-profit organisation working in education, community development and disaster relief. The campaign aims to connect everyday digital payments with support for children’s education.
Gaurav Kochhar, Chief of Business, NPCI BHIM, said the initiative sought to turn routine digital transactions into opportunities to provide children with essential learning resources. Goonj founder and executive director Anshu Gupta said the partnership would encourage citizen participation and help deliver educational support with dignity.
The campaign, developed with creative agency SoCheers, is part of BHIM’s annual festive initiative to extend the spirit of Diwali beyond celebrations and encourage social responsibility.
