Malayalam comedy thriller It’s a Medical Miracle, starring Sharafudheen and Sangeeth Prathap, has clocked over 15 million minutes of watch time in its first week on ManoramaMAX, following a positive response to its theatrical release. The film is streaming exclusively on the OTT platform in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Directed by debutant Syamin Gireesh, the film combines an unusual premise with comedy, suspense and unexpected twists. Sangeeth Prathap plays Rubin, who recovers from a coma to discover that he can hear sounds and conversations from a distance. His encounter with Sooraj, a friendly police officer played by Sharafudheen, sets off a series of unexpected events.
Sangeeth Prathap, known for his roles as Amal Davis in Premalu and Joel in Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, plays the lead in the film. The ensemble cast includes Akhila Bhargavan, Parvathy R Krishna, Kottayam Naseer, Anand Manmadan and Kiran Peethambaran.
Nileen Sandra, associated with Karikku, has written the screenplay and dialogues. The film is produced by Dr Paul Varghese and Sujit J Nair under the banners of Dr Paul’s Entertainment and Dream Big Films.
Akhil Xaviour has handled cinematography, while Rakesh Cherumadam is the editor. Mujeeb Majeed has composed the music, with Nixon George serving as sound designer.
ManoramaMAX offers more than 500 films and over 20,000 hours of content, along with programming from Mazhavil Manorama and Manorama News. The film’s first-week streaming figures mark a strong start for the title on the platform, extending its reach to audiences across four languages.
