The seasonal shopping event will continue through Bhai Dooj until November 11.
Shopping volumes surged by more than 50% year-on-year, with non-metro towns contributing to over 70% of the overall customer footprint. The platform also logged its highest-ever Prime sign-ups for any festive sale, with one in every three units purchased carrying a cashback benefit. Consumer financing saw strong traction as EMI-driven transactions climbed 40%, with interest-free No-Cost EMIs accounting for 90% of total installment spending.
Commenting on the performance, Saurabh Srivastava, Vice President, Amazon India, said, “This has been a historic year for us with the highest-ever shopping volume, increasing more than 50% over last year. More importantly, we were able to enable the highest-ever savings for customers of over INR 2,800 crores, welcome more new Prime members than in any shopping event, drive record growth for our sellers, and deliver products at our fastest-ever speeds across the country.” On the logistics and merchant front, newly onboarded sellers posted a 2.3-fold rise in unit sales, while deliveries executed within the same day or faster expanded nearly five-fold year-on-year.
