Chennai: An AIADMK party man was arrested by the city police last evening for creating public nuisance.
According to the police, Malaimeghan (52), a resident of Velacheri, was arrested for disturbing residents and the police in a drunken mood.
Malaimeghan works as an office-bearer of the party’s Velacheri division. On Tuesday, he was in an inebriate condition and created trouble for residents living in the Tamilnadu Police Housing Board.
He also misbehaved with the police who went to the spot to take him away.
Malaimeghan is now in police custody.
