Chennai: The South Madras Cultural Association (SMCA) and SMCA Charitable Trust will be hosting their 40th Sharadotsav celebrations at Besant Nagar, between 14 and 19 October.
According to a press release, the event is an annual fund-raiser for the SMCA Charitable Trust which dedicates itself to philanthropic engagements with orphanages, homes for the destitute and free dispensary for the economically backward.
Food stalls serving delectable cuisine, street food and sweets from Kolkata, cultural programmes and free prasadam (lunch) to all visitors will be available.
Global Hospitals head (neurosurgery), Dr K Shridhar, and Additional Director General of Police, Armed Police, Md Shakeel Akhtar, will participate as chief guests.
