Touted to be the first Tamil movie to be made out of crowdfunding, ‘Time Illa‘ will have Manu Parthepan in the lead role and is directed by Sathish Karna.

The movie is bankrolled by Manu Parthepan himself with help of the friends’ circle of him and the director.

The cast has Moni Chinnakotla, Athithya Kathir, Abhishek, Yasmin among others, Music is by L G Bala and cinematography by Karthik Venugopal.

Speaking about the movie, Sathish Karna, says, “When the lead character mocks at a temple deity, he gets cursed to die in 30 days. When he plans to live his life as he wishes in the short time, his situations get worsened and push him to live long. He has to fight against all odds to achieve his mission. This forms the crux of ‘Time Illa.‘”

The final stages of post-production are on a hectic pace and plans are on for a release by the end of December or the beginning of January 2019.
