Chennai: Hindustan University’s Rithwik Vijay Shekhar finished first followed by R Shiyam (MGR university) and Mervin Kiran (Hindustan University) on day one of Intercollege battle 2018 car racing championship preliminary round at Madras Motor Race Track, Irungatukottai yesterday.
Intercollege battle 2018 is an initiative taken by the first female racer of India, Alisha Abdullah to create more opportunities for the younger generation to take part in motorsports.
The event sees students from different college around the city competing against each other through various rounds of racing to bag the championship at the end of the season. The event is open for the public to witness car racing of college goers.
