Chennai: City police are conducting inquiries with two persons who filed fake documents during an interview at the Korean embassy at Cathedral Road here.

According to sources, the duo have been identified as Gunasekaran of Ramapuram and Vinoth Kumar of Mannargudi.

However, preliminary inquires revealed that the duo were unaware about the fake papers and that an agent who filed for them carried out the fraud.

Police said the two men were planning to go to Korea for jobs. In order to come across as genuine candidates, they filed fake Income Tax documents.

The fraud papers came to light during the interview and a complaint was lodged at the Mylapore Station.

Police said, the applicants were not aware about it and that they are trying to track the agent.
