Schneider Electric India Foundations (SEIF) organised the grand finale of ‘Green Championship 2018’ under its ‘Conserve My Planet’ programme in Chennai recently.
Nearly 300 Green Ambassadors between 10 and 13 years of age (along with 26 teachers) from 13 reputed Chennai schools participated in the event, where Maharishi Vidya Mandir Mangadu was declared the ‘Green Champion 2018’ for Chennai.
K P Sharma (vice-president), Rekha Nair (resource development), Khamakshi (HR manager), Sugandh (CSR manager), Yuvraj Murthy (branch general manager) and Gargee Dutta (Sharp NGO Project coordinator) were the chief guests. They spoke about the impact of the programme in Chennai and declared the winner.
“It is a very proud moment for all of us and we will continue to give our best in raising green champions,” said MVM Mangadu principal Chandrakala.
