Chennai: Completing 25 years of rendering service to Tamil, VGP World Tamil Sangam, founded by VGP Group chairman, V G Santhosam, is organising a function at Dr MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women auditorium here tomorrow.
According to a press release, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam will inaugurate the event and also the photography exhibition.
The programme will see the launch of ‘Kuralosai,’ an album composed by Santhosam on Thirukkural by State Minister for Fisheries and Personnel and Administrative Reforms, D Jayakumar, and Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute founder, A C Shanmugam, will receive the first copy.
“Discussions and debates on several topics glorifying Tamil will be held. Indian Space Research Organisation chairman K Sivan and Vellore Institute of Technology Chancellor G Viswanathan will receive the silver jubilee special award. Other special dignitaries taking part in the programme include lyricist Vairamuthu, industrialist Nalli Kuppusamy Chetti, Puducherry Deputy Speaker Sivakolundhu, Vels University Chancellor Ishari K Ganesh and Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology Pro Chancellor Mariazeena Johnson,” stated the release.
During the valedictory session, Tamil sanga literary award will be presented to scholars.
