Actor Simbu has been reportedly approached to play the role with negative shades for a movie to be produced by KE Gnanavel Raja. Starring Arya in the lead, the movie is reportedly a remake of Kannada hit Mufti. Mufti featured Shiva Rajkumar and Sri Murali in the lead.
Says Gnanevel Raja, “Things are still in the initial stages of talks and nothing has been finalised yet. We will come up with an official announcement soon.”
Simbu is on a vacation in London. He will be back after a couple of months. Only then, he will finalise other projects. The actor will begin shooting for Venkat Prabhu’s Maanadu by the end of May. He will also be seen making a special cameo appearance in Hansika’s upcoming film, Maha, directed by debutant UR Jameel.
