Long queues found outside Chepauk stadium for IPL tickets (videos)

Chennai: Sale of tickets for the opening match of the Indian Premier League Season 12, between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, to be held at M A Chidambaram Stadium 23 March, has commenced.

The tickets are available at the counter at MAC Stadium and online. Though it was said the counter would open only at 11.30 am, people had started queuing up from last night to get their tickets.

There are separate queues for men and women and a long queue of women were also seen outside the stadium this morning.

Tickets have been priced at Rs 1,300 (C, D and E lower tier), Rs 2,500 (C & E upper tier) and hospitality tickets at Rs 5,000 and Rs 6,500. Fans can buy up to 2 tickets per person at the stadium box office.

Bookmyshow is handling the online ticketing and according to a press release, it also started at 11.30 am.
