Chennai: The Customs officials at Chennai airport seized gold worth Rs 91.5 lakh in two separate incidents. About 1.5 kg of the metal worth Rs 49 lakh was seized from six passengers who arrived from Malaysia yesterday.
In another incident, on Thursday, six male passengers who had arrived from Dubai had concealed 1.3 kg of gold worth Rs 42.5 lakh in their rectums, while a woman passenger had it hidden in her innerwear.
