Chennai: The Madras High Court today quashed the Centre’s order in 2017 giving power to Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi to go through government documents.
The court delivered the verdict while hearing a petition filed by Puducherry MLA K Lakshminarayanan.
The High Court today said Governor does not have the power to interfere in the day-to-day activities of the Union Territory and added that Kiran Bedi does not have the right to interfere with the powers of Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanaswamy.
