Chennai: The Central government has allocated funds as a precaution before Cyclone Fani makes landfall on the Indian Coast.
Tamilnadu has been granted Rs 309 crore while Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal have been allotted Rs 200 crore, Rs 340 crore and Rs 235 crore, respectively.
Meanwhile, it is said that in view of the cyclone, the Indian Air Force (IAF) and BrahMos Aerospace have put on hold the testfire of the air-launched version of supersonic cruise missile from a Sukhoi-30 combat aircraft.
