Chennai: Baba Aparajith and Ankeet Bawane slammed unbeaten tons as Jolly Rovers closed down day one at 266 for two against Vijay in the semi-finals of the TNCA First Division League (2018-19) at the VB Nest here on Thursday.
Aparajith and Bawane, who scored their 6th and 5th centuries of the season, struck an unbroken 203 runs stand for the third wicket after Jolly Rovers lost two for 63 runs. Aparajith’s innings was studded with 11 boundaries and a solitary six, while Bawane hit nine fours and one maximum.
In the other last four match at the SSN College Ground, Grand Slam was 248 for seven against Alwarpet at stumps on the opening day. V Maaruthi Raghav (62) was its top scorer, making a half-century.
