Chennai: The Customs officials since Monday seized gold worth Rs 42 lakh from four women passengers at the Anna International Airport in separate incidents.
According to a media report, the seizure was made by Air Intelligence Unit who were on constant vigil.
A total of 1.27 kg of gold valued at Rs 41.66 lakh was seized under the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962, from the four woman passengers who had arrived from Colombo and the Middle East.
