Chennai: Following a family dispute, a carpenter ended his life by consuming acid at his house in Teynampet.
According to the police, the victim identified as Balakrishnan Raman (55), lived with his wife Selvi (40).
Police said he died allegedly because of a health problem. Balakrishnan was an alcoholic with a stomach ailment. He had acid with him for his carpentry work. He drank acid as he could not bare the stomach pain.
His body was sent to Government Royapettah Hospital for postmortem. Teynampet police registered a case.
