Chennai: Spic RC’s skipper and opening batsman L Saravanan scored a match-winning half-century as his team beat Central Exercise by 179 runs in a league match at the 50th All-India YSCA trophy, held here, recently.
Batting first, SPIC RC, riding on Saravanan’s unbeaten 84 scored 247 for the loss of nine wickets in 30 overs. Chasing 248, Central Excise were 68 all out in 16 overs, with Karthi and Selvakumaran picking up three wickets each.
