Hyderabad: Heatwave conditions likely to prevail at isolated pockets over north Telangana from today till 10 June, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Meanwhile, highest maximum temperature of 46.3 degree Celsius in the State was recorded in Adilabad yesterday.
Thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds of (30-40 kmph) and lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places over the State today, predicted the IMD.
Followed by Adilabad, Nizamabad recorded 45.3 degree Celsius and Hyderabad recorded 41.8 degree Celsius.
People have been advised to not expose themselves directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions. Parts of Telangana have been experiencing heatwave conditions for over a month with the mercury crossing the 40- degree Celsius mark at several places.
