Chennai: Harikesanjali Trust, Chennai, is conducting its annual music competition on the kritis of Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavatar on 23 June at Narada Gana Sabha. It will be conducted for two age groups: 13-17 and 18-25.
According to a note from Latha Kumaraswami, trustee, Harikesanjali Trust, interested candidates can apply online to: [email protected] giving their name, age, address, telephone number, name of guru and the name of five songs in case of 13-17 and eight in case of 18-25 age group, before 20 June.
The trust was founded in June 1997 to promote and popularise the music of Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavathar. Last year, over 25 children participated in the music competition, says Latha.
Prizes and certificates for the contestants and winners will be distributed 30 June during the annual function at Narada Gana Sabha.
