According to media reports, the draft project report (DPR) is being prepared by Sai Consulting Engineers, the consultant for the project.

Sources state, the submission of various reports including inception report, interim report, dissemination report (of phase one and two), final report, social impact assessment report, environmental assessment report and final bid draft are a few among the essential documents that are to be submitted.

As of now, the final report and draft bid are expected by 31 August. The final bid will be submitted 30 days after the submission of the aforementioned documents for the approval from the technical review Committee. The approval of final bid is to be made around 31 October.

The board submitted the necessary documents after Ayyamperumal, an advocate residing in Madipakkam, reminded the Madras HC that the plan that began eight years ago, remained on pause for a long time.
