Chennai: The city police arrested two college students allegedly involved in peddling ganja at Ramapuram yesterday.
Police personnel from Kannagi Nagar and sub-inspector of Royala Nagar, Dhanush, were on patrol duty at Thirumalai Nagar, Ramapuram, when they spotted two youngsters on the road. They had a bag with them and started running when they saw the police. The police chased the youngsters and caught them.
On searching the bag, the police found 1.4 kg of ganja. The banned substance was seized and the police detained the duo, identified as Anurag (20) and Manas (20), for questioning.
