Around 2,250 users (officers and staff) have been inducted in the e-Office system in Southern Railway Headquarters. Divisional Railway Manager office Tiruchi started working on e-Office platform from 10 June. Other divisions will be added in the next phase, said a press release.
The e-Office culture is expected to promote transparency, work-efficiency and accountability of all railwaymen. The e-Office is a massive ‘go-green’ initiative and will usher in a new era of office work culture. Apart from saving the costs on account of material, this will also help in avoiding cumbersome process of handling files and delays.
