Chennai: “Abrogation of Article 370 that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir will end terrorism in the State,” said Union Home Minister Amit Shah here today.

Profusely thanking Venkaiah Naidu for the passage of Bill in the Rajya Sabha on the Kashmir issue, Amit Shah said, “I was worried as to what would happen in Rajya Sabha. It is because of Venkaiah that all supported this (abrogation of Article 370).”

“Venkaiah struggled to abrogate Article 370 and when the same was done, he was the Vice Chairman of Rajya Sabha,” he added.

“After scrapping Article 370, terrorism in Kashmir will end and it will lead to progress and development,” Amit Shah stated.
