Chennai: Are you looking for a place to pray and meditate with good ambience and vibrations? Wait no more. Head to 11:11 Meditation Hall at 7th Avenue, Ashok Nagar.
“Meditation helps people discover themselves,” says Chartered Accountant, stock broker and philanthropist A S Kumar (ASK), who manages and leads sessions at this vibrant venue.
“People usually say Chartered Accountants work in high pressure, but you can see my team work with pleasure not pressure,” he says.
Asked about how he was attracted into meditation, Kumar says, “In 2014, I met spiritual guru Mahatria in a marriage function and got connected with Him. Mahatria taught me ‘Who I am’ through meditation and prayer. I took TAT (This and That) course from Mahatria, in which He taught everything about life and how to get the best out of our time and energy. Now, I am helping my team and friends by sharing what I have learnt from my spiritual guru.”
Consistency in practice is the core to success. “Our whole team is working with passion because I taught them to breathe ‘AIR’ – Accountability, Integrity and Responsibility,” he adds.
“Meditation and prayer help us bring clarity in our minds and speak coherently without negative words,” says he.
“Impact, influence and inspire are my three mantras. My moment of victory was when my friends put down their cigarettes when they see me approaching them,” he says.
As a philanthropist, Kumar has brought happiness and prosperity to underprivileged children in the field of education, employment and health through V V Charitable Trust (Vision with Values). He supports 111 girl children for the last three years and inspires hundreds of students of a Corporation School in Chennai. He also impacts people’s lives through personal counseling when they are under stress and helps them make right and effective choices thereby changing the course of their life.
Sessions on meditation, entrainment and chanting are led by Kumar in the 11:11 meditation hall, which is open to all free of cost. It functions every Monday from 8 am to 9 am, weekdays from 8.30 am to 9 am and on Saturdays from 9.30 am to 10 am. Additionally, a special prayer (infiniminute) is observed on all working days from 11am to 11.30 am. On Mondays, from 7 pm to 9 pm one can experience retelecast of Sunday’s infinipath.
