
Chennai: Two men and a woman were arrested by the city police for selling ganja near Red Hills Sunday.
Acting on a tip off that ganja was being sold near the bus stop at Red Hills regularly, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rawalipriya formed a team which included Inspector Vasanth and Sub Inspector Bhagyaraj.
The duo watched the public movement near the bus stop and found two vehicles arriving at the spot with the contraband last night.
Police arrested Vignesh (20) from Sathyamoorthy Nagar, Vyasarpadi and Vijay (20) from Milk Colony, Madhavram. Police also arrested Ramya, wife of Ajith kumar of Kamban Colony, Madhavaram.
Ramya is said to have supplied the ganja to the duo. Two kilograms of ganja was seized from her. The trio were produced before Ponneri Court and remanded in Puzhal Prison.
