Chennai: Leaders of 23 organisations representing Muslims met Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today at the Secretariat here and submitted a memorandum containing various demands, mostly in connection with CAA.
The representatives requested that the State government should pressurise the Centre to reconsider the implementation of CAA.
Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, Manidhaneya Makkal Katchi president Jawahirullah said, ”Muslims in the country are afraid of CAA. We are scared that our citizenship will be cancelled.”
