Aryan Shyam the great grandson of V Krishnaswamy who is the founder of Indian Bank, garlanding the statue on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Krishnaswamy.
A press release said, Krishnaswamy founded the Indian Bank , when he fought against the British as a lawyer and brought down the Arbuthnot bank run by the British and started a bank for Indians called the Indian Bank.
He is the first indian to to have a beach fronted statue outside the senate house in the Madras University.
Incidentally Aryan Shyam is married to the AVM family (he has married AVM Saravanan’s granddaughter) and he is getting launched as hero in the movie Andha Naal which is under post production . He is also playing the lead in the Pariyerum Perumal remake in Kannada.
