Chennai: A total of 420 Air Warriors of Automobile Technician, Automobile Fitter and Air Force Police of Mechanical Transport Training Institute (MTTI) and Air Force Police and Security Training Institute (AFP&STI) respectively completed theirĀ 52 weeks of rigorous training successfully.
They will now join the main stream of Indian Air Force. Three foreign nationals from Nepal and Afghanistan also underwent training, a Defence release said.
At a valedictory function held at Air Force Station Avadi, Air Commodore Dinesh Singh Dagar, Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Air Force Station Avadi, who was the chief guest, complimented the passing out trainees for their successful culmination of training.
While addressing the trainee air warriors, AOC emphasised that the country has reposed enormous trust in each one of them to safeguard the skies and assets of the Nation.
AOC urged the air warriors to put sustained efforts towards continuous enhancement of knowledge and skills by keeping themselves abreast with the latest changes.
He also advised the air warriors to maintain exemplary conduct at all times in keeping with the ethos of the service.
The āBest in Trade Trophyā for Auto/Tech, Auto/Fit and Air Force Police trainees was awarded to Leading Aircraftsman (LAC) PS Balwant, LAC Sahil and LAC AP Singh respectively.
āBest in General Service Trainingā for Auto/Tech, Auto Fit and Air Force Police trainees was awarded to Aircraftsman Mujeeb Khan, AC AS Rathore and AC AS Tomar respectively.
The āBest All Rounder Trophyā for Auto/Tech, Auto/Fit and Air Force Police tradesmen was awarded to LAC Krishan Tiwari, LAC Sahil and LAC Mohit Rathore respectively.
