Chennai: Though Chennai continued to top the Covid-19 chart of Tamilnadu with 68,254 cases, after it added 1,713 fresh cases on Sunday, the daily figures are coming down constantly for the past few days.
After continously reporting more than 2,000 cases on a daily basis, the metropolis, for the past few days, has been reporting less than 2,000 daily infections.
Acknowledging this, Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan said the efforts are bearing fruit. He however cautioned people not to take this for granted, especially with the lockdown relaxations coming into effect from today in the city.
