Actor Chiranjeevi will be playing the lead in the Telugu remake of hit Malayalam film Lucifer. Sujeeth of Saaho fame has been roped in to direct the film.
According to the latest reports, the makers have approached actor Rahman, who was last seen in Seven, to play a pivotal role in the film.
He will be seen playing the antagonist in the film, a role that was played by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi in the original.
Rahman was quite impressed with his character in the film and immediately agreed to be a part of it. An official announcement will be made in August. Veteran actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam has been roped in to play Manju Warrier’s role in the original.
Lucifer is a political drama directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran in Malayalam.
