Chennai: Voluntary Health Services (VHS) in Chennai has inaugurated Convalescent Plasma centre and expressed gratitude to Rotary club of Madras East for contribution to this noble cause during these tough days of Covid-19.
“On any normal day, it takes five days to get Convalescent Plasma, which is extended time for critical care. Hence, processing and storage of Convalescent Plasma was ideated and the centre was established at VHS immediately, to speed up the recovery of Covid positive patient,” said a press note.
The entire objective is to provide ‘Plasma on call’ for Covid positive patients even at odd times of the day, it added.
