Chennai: Tamilnadu recorded 736 new cases and nine deaths in the past 24 hours.
Recoveries marginally outnumbered new cases with 772 people getting discharged in the last 24 hours, aggregating to 26,80,667 leaving 8,337 active infections including those people in isolation, a medical bulletin said.
The total infection count touched 27,25,467 while the toll mounted to 36,463.
As many as 1,01,189 people were tested on Sunday. The State’s TPR remained at 0.7 per cent, with Chennai’s TPR at 0.8 per cent. The highest of 1.5 per cent was recorded in Salem and Namakkal.
Nineteen districts have fewer than 100 patients under treatment for Covid-19.
