The second round of engineering counselling in Tamil Nadu is set to commence on August 10, offering opportunities for thousands of aspiring students to secure their preferred college seats. Following a successful first round, where 12,747 students received provisional seat allotments based on their merit, the process now moves forward to accommodate more candidates.

Students who participated in the first round are currently reporting to their respective colleges to complete the admission formalities. As the focus shifts to the second round, students with cut-off marks between 178.9 and 142 are eligible to participate. This round is expected to see participation from approximately 77,948 students.

Tentative seat allotments for the second round will be available on August 13, allowing students to review their potential placements. The provisional seat allocations will be confirmed on August 15, giving students a clear picture of their academic future.

Looking ahead, the final round of counselling is scheduled for August 23-25. This round will cater to students with cut-off marks ranging between 141 and 77.50, ensuring that a broad spectrum of candidates has the opportunity to secure a place in one of Tamil Nadu’s engineering colleges.
