Hindu Munnani has called for an investigation into an incident where a woman reportedly conducted an Islamic prayer (namaz) at the Mylapore Kapaleeswarar Temple in Chennai. The organizationâs state secretary, Dilli Babu, has submitted a petition to the Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department, seeking action.According to the petition, the incident occurred on the 24th of last month when a woman identified as Ayesha Banu from Neelangarai performed a namaz inside the temple premises. The woman also allegedly shared a video of the prayer on social media platforms.
Following this, an individual named Balamurugan, who works at the temple, filed a complaint at the Mylapore Police Station on the 29th of the same month. The complaint was subsequently transferred to the Cyber Crime Division. In response, the video of the prayer that had been uploaded on YouTube has since been removed.
The incident has sparked discussions on social media, an Hindu Munnani has emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to understand the circumstances and implications of the event.
