The makers of Amaran, the highly anticipated film starring Sivakarthikeyan, have announced that the trailer will be released tomorrow, October 23, at 6 pm. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, Amaran is based on the real-life story of late army officer Major Mukund Varadarajan, adapted from Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book India’s Most Fearless.Sivakarthikeyan takes on the role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army’s Rajput Regiment. Major Mukund Varadarajan was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra, India’s highest peacetime military decoration, for his act of valor during a counterterrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir while serving with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion. Sai Pallavi will portray Indhu Rebecca Varghese, the wife of the late Major Mukund. The film also marks the Tamil debut of Bhuvan Arora, known for his role in Farzi, as Sepoy Vikram Singh.
The technical crew behind Amaran includes music by GV Prakash, cinematography by CH Sai, editing by Kalaivanan, and stunt direction by Stefan Richter. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International in association with Sony Pictures International Productions.
Scheduled for release on October 31, Amaran will face a box office clash with Jayam Ravi’s Brother and Kavin’s Bloody Beggar. Fans are eagerly awaiting the trailer, which promises to offer a glimpse into the gripping and emotional narrative of this heroic story.
