
China’s President Xi Jinping has sent a message on the 75th anniversary of India-China ties. He spoke about the need for partnership and mutual growth. He also said India and China should work together like a “dragon and elephant tango” for their shared interests.
China’s Premier Li Qiang and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi also exchanged congratulatory messages. The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced this on Tuesday.
India’s President Droupadi Murmu said that a stable and friendly relationship will help both countries and the world. Her message was reported by Xinhua, China’s state news agency.
The development comes amid the efforts to reset the ties after over four years of freeze due to the eastern Ladakh military standoff.
