Coimbatore, June 14: Coimbatore police have cracked a daring gold heist after intercepting a car carrying a massive 125 kg of stolen gold. The incident occurred when the gang blocked the vehicle to loot it, but officers swiftly arrested six suspects and recovered the precious haul.The police formed special teams and gathered critical evidence, including CCTV footage and vehicle tracking data, leading them to the perpetrators. Officials noted the gold was being transported secretly and the gang attempted to ambush the car on a major Coimbatore route.
Thanks to prompt police action, the suspects are now in custody, and the entire gold has been seized. Authorities are continuing the investigation to uncover the gang’s broader network and prevent similar future crimes.
