The upcoming multilingual film Aasha, starring Malayalam cinema veterans Urvashi and Joju George, began filming with a traditional pooja ceremony at the Thrikkakkara Vamana Moorthy Temple. The event marked the official launch of the film, with Joju George, cinematographer Madhu Neelakandan, and director Safar Sanal lighting the inaugural lamp. Joju gave the first clap while Madhu handled the camera switch-on. The film features a strong cast including Vijayaraghavan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Pani fame Ramesh Girija. Aasha is set to release in five Indian languages, aiming for a pan-Indian audience. The title-look poster was also revealed during the ceremony. Directed and written by Safar Sanal, the film is produced by Vinayaka Ajith under Ajith Vinayaka Films. The screenplay and dialogues are co-written by Joju George, Ramesh Girija, and Safar Sanal. The technical crew includes Madhu Neelakandan as cinematographer, Shan Mohammed as editor, and Midhun Mukundan composing the music. Other key members include Ajayan Adat (sound), Vivek Kalathil (production design), Shameer Shams (make-up), Sujith C.S. (costumes), and Dinesh Subbarayan (stunts).
