Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thirumavalavan has stated that his party’s recognition as a state party was a direct result of its alliance with the DMK. He pointed out that while the VCK had responsibly warned that the BJP would “swallow” the AIADMK, former Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami had claimed that the DMK would “swallow” the VCK. Thirumavalavan believes that someone is advising Palaniswami on what to say.Thirumavalavan highlighted that the VCK has been part of the DMK alliance in almost all elections since 2021, which has led to the party’s gradual growth and eventual recognition as a state party. He asserted that the VCK has grown, not declined.
