Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president and actor Vijay has called upon his party cadres to maintain discipline and restraint during the party’s second state conference in Madurai on August 21.
In a letter to workers, Vijay said the convention should reflect TVK’s political direction and its goal of “Conscience Democracy.” He likened the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections to historic turning points in 1967 and 1977, expressing confidence that TVK would prove its strength at the polls.
Advising vulnerable groups like senior citizens, pregnant women, children and the differently abled to watch the event live from home, Vijay urged cadres to ensure safety and order “with military-like discipline.”
He concluded by assuring party workers that victory is within reach, stating, “We will meet in Madurai with open hearts. We will win through strategy. Victory is certain.”
