Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has announced special bus services for pilgrims traveling to Sabarimala from November 16, 2025, to January 16, 2026, to accommodate the large influx of devotees during the Mandala Pooja and Makaravilakku festival season.Special buses, including ultra deluxe, AC, and non-AC sleeper services, will operate from major cities like Chennai, Tiruchy, Madurai, and Cuddalore to Pamba, the gateway to the Sabarimala temple. These special buses aim to provide comfortable and convenient travel for devotees undertaking the pilgrimage.
However, services will be temporarily suspended from December 26 to 29, as the temple will be closed during this period for ceremonial reasons related to the temple’s annual rituals.Pilgrims are encouraged to book tickets in advance on the official TNSTC website or the mobile app.
Helpline numbers are also available for assistance. This arrangement is expected to enhance travel convenience for thousands of Sabarimala devotees coming from Tamil Nadu during this important religious season
