Washington, Nov 19: In what has become a near-daily declaration, US President Donald Trump used an Oval Office appearance to again claim he had “stopped eight wars,” adding that he still had “one to go” with Russian President Vladimir Putin.His remarks came as he sat alongside Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, blending boasts about foreign policy with commentary on renovations to the White House.
“And we’ve done a lot of good with this office,” Trump said. “I’ve stopped actually eight wars I have another one to go with Putin. I’m a little surprised at Putin. It’s taken longer than I thought.”
Trump offered no details about the alleged conflicts he prevented but pointed to India and Pakistan as one of the flashpoints he believes he helped cool. “We stopped India and Pakistan. I could go through the list. You know the list better than I do,” he told reporters.
