Erode witnessed a massive turnout today as thousands of supporters flocked to attend the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) public meeting led by actor-turned-politician Vijay. The event, held at an HR&CE-controlled venue near the Vijayamangalam toll plaza, is designed to accommodate around 25,000 attendees.
Authorities imposed strict security measures to ensure the safety of participants. TVK issued guidelines urging volunteers and attendees to follow all police instructions, including regulated entry into designated seating boxes and restrictions on entry for pregnant women, elderly citizens, children, and individuals with health concerns.
In addition, the press release emphasized that actions that could obstruct traffic or pose hazards are strictly prohibited. Fireworks and similar welcome events are banned, and vehicles are allowed only in authorized parking areas. The large crowd underscores the growing popularity of Vijay and his political venture in the region.
